The Suica card スイカ
A master key
The IC SUICA card, essential for using most public transport systems, is currently out of stock.
For those traveling to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto and beyond, we offer an ideal solution: the "Welcome Suica" card. This alternative works in a similar way to the traditional SUICA card and is valid for 28 days. It can also be used on trains, buses and subways, and even for certain purchases at convenience stores and vending machines.

The indispensable Suica card, for Super Urban Intelligent Card, was created in 2001. Thanks to its simplicity, it has become a firm favorite with tourists and Japanese alike, with over 40 million users.
At first glance, it looks like a conventional public transport card. But the Suica is much more than that. With it, travelers can pay at konbini, vending machines or even rent a locker.
Simple and efficient
To obtain a Suica, all you have to do is go to the JR ticket offices at airports. It works like a prepaid card. Available for 2000 円, its users recharge it at the terminals available in all stations. Please note, however, that top-up terminals only accept cash.
Almost limitless
In Japan, each region has its own card. But since 2013, all cards work on all networks. The Suica gives access to all rail networks except the Shinkasen and certain express lines.
More than just a ticket
The other advantage of the Suica card is that it's a real virtual wallet. No more counting coins at konbini, when renting a locker or at the vending machine... and recently, it also works on the Wii U console to buy games online. A true Swiss Army knife.
If you go to Japan, keep your Suica card. Even if the amount is only available for one year, the card is valid for ten!
