Your excursion in detail

Intinéraire

  • Day 1 : Around the lakes

Early in the morning, departure from the center of Tokyo by bus to Lake Kawaguchi-ko at the foot of the iconic Mount Fuji, the journey takes 3 hours

Collect rental bikes at the lake:

Day around Lake Kawaguchi-ko which offers superb views of Mount Fuji in good weather. The lake is approximately 20km in circumference and is punctuated with museums, parks and galleries.

The north shore is the most popular with walkers, especially when the cherry trees are in bloom or the maples are blushing. But just like the biggest celebrities, the sacred mountain is modest.

She lets herself be desired and only the most patient (and luckiest) will be able to appreciate her splendor

At the end of the afternoon, check into your 3* accommodation. Enjoy your hotel's hot springs

Lunch and dinner are at your expense.

  • Day 2 : From one view to another

    Breakfast at the hotel

The day begins with an iconic panorama of Mount Fuji from the 5-story Chureito Pagoda, a must-visit in the region.

Continue to the sanctuary which serves as the starting point for pilgrimages for the ascent to the summit of the sacred mountain. The path is lined with large lanterns which lead towards the main building surrounded by thousand-year-old trees.

Discover a thatched-roof village classified as a world heritage site since 2013 for its unique architecture. This small town is today dedicated to local crafts. The village of 9,200 souls is home to Edo-style houses and a pond with crystal clear waters that attract everyone's attention.

An open-air museum allows visitors to learn more about the way of life of the Japanese who lived at the foot of Mount Fuji two centuries ago.

    Lunch in the village

Heading south, stop at Lake Yamanaka, literally "lake in the middle of the mountains", the third highest lake in Japan (982 meters). Keep your eyes peeled for the “Kaba” amphibious bus on the lake Gain height in the Fuji Cemetery park and its avenue of cherry trees, after climbing a few steps, the site offers a beautiful view of the surrounding nature.

Installation in your 3* hotel in Gotemba

Lunch and dinner are at your expense.

  • Day 3 : Nature and traditions

    Breakfast at the hotel

Go and observe the 90 species and no less than 900 wild animals that roam freely at the foot of Mount Fuji, in the safari.

Continue to the tea fields which offer one of the most beautiful views of the sacred mountain, take the time to find the best angle for the perfect photo.

In the afternoon, don't miss the heritage site of Mount Fuji and its magnificent architecture. This establishment aims to protect, preserve and transmit to future generations the environment, history and culture of the site.

Check into your accommodation, a lovely inn in the town of Fujinomiya.

Lunch and dinner are at your expense.

  • Day 4 : Waterfalls and local flavors

Early in the morning, stop at a cozy café for breakfast.

The day begins with the discovery of a natural site, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Japan. Clear water gushes from the precipices between the old and new layers of the volcano over a width of 150 meters

For the youngest, a ranch offers a contact break with animals with a view of Mount Fuji. A place loved by families that offers culinary workshops, crafts and other activities

Lunch not far from the delicious Yakisobo ranch (addresses in your travel notebook).

On the way to Lake Kawaguchi-ko, stop at a vibrant floral garden. A place that will complete your tour of the sacred mountain.
