Rohji
This vacation rental in Kyoto is a typical Japanese house built in one of the many alleyways of old Kyoto, from where the house takes its name, "rohji" meaning alleyway in Japanese. The house is ideally located if you wish to make regular visits to Gion district or the downtown area.
Description of the house
On the ground floor there is a kitchen / dining room, Japanese living room, Japanese bathroom (shower and Japanese ofuro bath), washing machine and restroom.
You can prepare your meals in the kitchenette and comfortably eat at the kitchen table or seated on the zabuton, Japanese cushions, in the lounge covered with tatami.
Upstairs, there are two Japanese bedrooms with two futons each to spend a pleasant night in the warm and bright space.
The neighborhood
The house is located near Okazaki park in a popular and cultural leisure district, which is quiet during the week and attracts Kyoto's residents on the weekends.
Families, love-struck couples and art lovers come together along the canals which surround the museums and give this pleasant district its charm. Each morning, there is a market in Furukawa passage, just a few minutes from the house. Amenities, transport and supermarkets are located not far from the house.
