The ground floor of the Gion Indigo Suite is ideal for travelers looking for a high-quality and confortable accommodation in one of the city's most famous neighborhoods: Gion.
Description of the house
The house has an iron, an internet access (WiFi), central heating and air conditioning. There is also a there is TV, with Japanese and English speaking channels. The kitchen is equipped with HI, a refrigerator, a microwave, a freezer, numerous cutlery and kitchen utensils, and a kettle. The premises also include two Japanese-style bedrooms with double beds, as well as a modern bathroom (Japanese shower and bathtub) and restroom.
The washitsu offer a typically Japanese environment: tatami mats of light tones, soft lighting and a unique and comfortable double-bed. In the center of the house, hidden behind large bay windows that bring in light, a Japanese garden adds a touch of refinement that you are sure to appreciate every time you cross the corridor.
You are free to cook with the numerous utensils provided, and to eat comfortably seated while facing this natural space for you to enjoy only.
The neighborhood
Gion is the oldest and best preserved sites representing traditional architecture in Kyoto. This typical Kyoto house is located just behind Kennin Temple and Sairai Temple. Just a stone's throw away, you will find the famous Hanamikoji Street, lined with restaurants, accessories stores, craft shops, and ochaya (tea houses). Thus, while having access to the traditional beating heart of Kyoto, you have the possibility to stay in a spiritual and relaxing environment.

Note: This is the ground floor of a two-level house, and designed for 4 guests to stay. The whole house can welcome up to 8 people and can be booked as such, depending on availability.
