tokyo's subway system has introduced low fares on day passes, offering travelers a cost-effective option for exploring the city at their leisure.
The Tokyo Subway Day Ticket gives access to all lines of the Tokyo Metro and Tôei networks; transport companies that operate a subway network in Tokyo; and is available for 1, 2 or 3-day periods.
Tokyo Subway Day Ticket
- The Tokyo Subway 1-Day Ticket costs 800 yen (approx. €5.70).
- The Tokyo Subway 2-Day Ticket is available for 1,200 yen (approx. €8.50).
- The Tokyo Subway 3-Day Ticket is available for 1,500 yen (approx. €10.70).
Please note: These tickets are only valid for the dates printed on the back and will be activated the first time they are used.
Where to buy it?
- Available at Haneda (Tokyo Tourist Information Center, International Terminal, 2nd floor), Narita (Keisei Bus counters, first floor of South wing and Zone A) and Yonago (Tottori) airports.
- Available at various tourist information offices, including the Tokyo Metro Information Center, HIS and JNTO tourist centers.
- On sale in selected BIC Camera and Laox stores.
- Also available from travel agencies, both in Japan and abroad.

Another option: Although the Suica and Pasmo are out of stock, the Welcome Suica is a reloadable, prepaid transport card that offers visitors to Japan convenient access to public transport networks, such as trains, subways, buses and even some cabs, in various parts of the country. It can also be used to make purchases in certain stores and vending machines.
