Nambu Line 南武線
The Nambu Line is a JR line in greater Tokyo connecting Tachikawa Station in Tachikawa, Tokyo with Kawasaki Station in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture.
The Nambu Line is 45 km long. There is also a branch line from Shitte to Hama-Kawasaki with stops at Hatchonawate, Kawasaki-Shinmachi, Odasakae Station and Hama-Kawasaki.
History
The Nambu Line was completed between 1927-1930 and was nationalized during World War II. The line is now operated by JR East.

Nambu Line Information
Rapid trains (about two an hour from 9 am-4 pm) do not stop at all stations. Other trains are classed as local trains and stop at all stations.
The first Nambu Line train leaves Kawasaki Station for Tachikawa at 4.49am with the last train at 11.32pm. There are later trains going only as far as Noborito, Musashi-Nakahara and Musashi-Mizonokuchi. From Tachikawa, the first Nambu Line train leaves for Kawasaki Station at 4.47 am with the last train at 11.32 pm. There are later trains but only as far as Musashi-Nakahara.
Services are less frequent on weekends and public holidays.
