Tennoji Station connects to Osaka Abenobashi Station inside the giant Abeno Harukas Kintetsu department store. From Osaka Abenobashi Station there are Kintetsu Line trains on the Minami-Osaka Line for Imagawa, Fujiidera, Domyoji, Furuichi (in Osaka Prefecture), Shakudo, Kashiharajingu-mae, Yoshino and Kawachi-Nagano in Nara Prefecture.

The Minami-Osaka Line platforms are inside the massive Abeno Harukas skyscraper which is presently (2014) Japan's highest building with 60 floors. Abeno Harukas contains the Kintetsu Department Store (Japan's largest) from B2F-14F, the luxury Marriott International Miyako Hotel (38F-55F), and the new HQ of Sharp Corporation.

From underground passages to the subway lines follow the signs to the Hankai Uemachi Line, a streetcar from Tennojieki-mae to Sumiyoshikoen Station, for Sumiyoshi Taisha Grand Shrine.
