Reminiscing the past, the Mishimatei salt meats, opened in 1873, satisfy the meat lovers! The ground floor serves as a sheep butcher's shop, it is upstairs, in private rooms, that the well-sliced meat is served. Four types of preparations are available for the gourmet. The most familiar and popular is sukiyaki.
Thin slices of meat, as well as vegetables, simmer in a tasty broth. Everything is devoured once soaked in a bowl with a raw egg. Oilyaki, less exotic, is no less delicious: it's about cooking small steaks and greens on a griddle brushed with oil.
Finally, mizudaki and mizore nabe, shabu-shabu variants, also combine the meat with a broth, which only makes a quick passage. Whichever you choose, the menu is 10,000 yen ($87/77€) per person.
