THE LONGEST CABLE CAR IN ASIA
This cable car, in addition to being the longest in Asia, is also the only one in Japan with double-decker cabins . It connects Shinhotaka Onsen and Mt. Nishi Hotakadake, with an intermediate stage where visitors change cable cars. What to observe the landscapes halfway or take a bath in an outdoor onsen .
Then the journey resumes, with the double cabins, which take us to the foot of the mountain, at an altitude of 2,156 meters and its fabulous panorama which is offered to us from the observation deck . It is advisable to bring appropriate clothing, as the temperatures drop a lot once you reach the top. For the bravest, it is even possible to embark on a hike of about 3 hours , which will allow you to reach Kamikochi , one of the most beautiful valleys in the Japanese Alps.
A LANDSCAPE CHANGING WITH THE SEASONS
However, it must be admitted that the most beautiful view is the one that can be admired throughout the journey offered by the cable car. Open all year round, you can observe the beautiful white coat several meters high that the snow deposits on the mountains, or even the Sengokuenchi natural park, which the cable car overlooks, surrounded by huge walls of snow.
In spring and summer , the park is adorned with a multitude of small wild flowers or tall grasses, then once autumn comes, the trees are adorned with warm colors. Moreover, in the fall , the operating hours of the cable car are extended, so that you can watch the sunset above the clouds. Gorgeous.
