The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, nicknamed Miraikan, is the temple of Japanese technology. Located on the artificial island of Odaiba, this huge building houses the gems national research, particularly in terms of robotics.
An encounter of the 3rd kind
Each level is dedicated to a specific aspect of research and development. On the third floor, robots lead the way and demonstrate their talent every hour. In particular, you will see Asimo, the famous humanoid robot. On the fifth floor, you can visit a replica of the International Space Station, to get an idea of life in space.
Sky and earth
The unmistakable Tsunagari, a huge globe suspended in the air on several levels and shows the CO2 concentration of the planet and the day's weather. The 'Gaia' dome projects views of the sky and turns into a planetarium.
Many activities are organized every day, many involve visitor participation. They are accessible to children from the age of 4.
Several restaurants are located on different levels of the museum, including the panoramic "Earth" restaurant on the seventh floor and the "baby café", a relaxation room for parents with young children, on the fifth floor.
